Position overview

Performs a variety of functions relating to scheduling air medical flights for Jet Logistics’ clients. Exercises independent judgment in the processing and resolution of scheduling matters; applies a working knowledge of applicable regulations. This is an office setting position and not able to telecommute.

Essential Job Functions

  • Produces customer quotes for various clients
  • Books and confirms missions are compliant with 14CFR Part 135.267
  • Coordinates mission details for all trips
  • Performs Flight Following duties in accordance with the JLI General Operations Manual (GOM) and 14 CFR Part 135.79
  • Obtains Customs authorizations, approvals, and/or notifications
  • Files APIS notifications for International missions
  • Notifies flight crew personnel of scheduled trips and their respective itineraries
  • Coordinates all catering requirements as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
  • Researches fuel purchasing options for all missions
  • Coordinates with Operations for crew hotels and rental cars for overnight missions
  • Performs Tier 2 Operational Control functions
  • Follows up with customers after trips to ensure satisfaction and quality control
  • Keeps track of credit card usage in the Flight Operations department and tracks down missing receipts
  • Performs limited Sales functions
  • Any other duties delegated to him/her by the direct supervisor and/or Director of Operations

Requirements

  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency; knowledge of FOS, Word, and Excel
  • Schedule flexibility- this position covers 2 weeks rotating days/nights/weekends
  • Excellent customer service skills using appropriate tact and professionalism requiring good oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility in a rapidly changing organization
  • Effective time management with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Attend and pass exam on Jet Logistics Communication Specialist Standard Operating Procedures Manual
